Nordic households rendered tallow for their skin long before anyone had a word for a moisturiser. It worked because it is close to what skin makes for itself — and it fell out of favour because, honestly, it felt like grease.
We kept the ingredient and changed the texture. Our tallow is whipped with water, squalane and shea until it turns to cream on contact: the same lipids, none of the slick. Old thinking, current formulation, and the full ingredient list printed on the jar.
